ABOUT
Reid Builders (2014) Ltd is a small North-Shore based Building Company, servicing Auckland wide in all aspects of Building from Commercial Construction to Residential & Architectural builds.
This company is led by David Reid, a Licensed Building Practitioner who has been in the Building & Construction Industry for 15+ years. Born & bred in the Bay of Islands he moved to Auckland & began his apprenticeship at 16years old in Commercial Construction. After getting qualified he moved onto the Residential sector as a Labour only contractor working for a variety of different companies, eventually settling with a small Northland based firm specialising in very High end Architectural builds for a number of years. Upon reaching his limit of growth within the Company, he then decided to move back to Auckland to start his own Building Company, which has now been in business for almost 5yrs.
We expect high standards from everyone we work with and we only employ quality Sub-contractors and Tradesmen, who have a proven track record of excellent workmanship. Over the years we have built up very good working relationships with all our Sub-contractors, which means all our projects are always finished to the highest possible standards. Even though we are a young company, we have over 150 years of combined experience in all aspects of the Building & Construction industry, so you can rest assured we can tackle any challenge that comes our way.

There are multiple ways we engage in business with our clients. Depending on the type of project and scope of works involved, you can decide what option is best suited to meet your requirements.

Fixed price Contracts - Generally for new Residential or light commercial Builds working directly for the Owner/Client

Fixed price Labour only - Tailored Residential & Commercial Carpentry packages

Contract rates - Constant rates applied to a measured schedule of quantities (our preferred method for Commercial Construction)

Open-book contract - All incurred costs are disclosed and invoiced plus the agreed margins
